In Thailand you will find that almost every hotel is gay-friendly so how is this place different from everything else? Our customers tell us that it is very different. It’s not a hotel, guesthouse or a room for rent. It’s almost like at home. It’s really a homestay. Our returning guests tell us every visit brings new experiences and new friends. With only 4 rooms and a maximum of 8 simultaneous guests, it’s easy to befriend the other guests or be totally private. Negotiations around the breakfast table enable a variety of activities together. Sometimes there is an excursion to explore the gorgeous beaches and stunning nature of the magic Island, the market or to indulge the nightlife in Patong. If you just want to relax welcome to hang out by the swimming pool. If you need to work we can assure you about good Internet speed, free of charge.

Book a room
We charge per room and you can stay 2 persons in a room. Breakfast for two persons is included in the room rate. An overnight guest is welcome but on your own risk and responsibility, just like home. Check in time is after 2 PM and check out time is 10 AM but don’t worry, we are very flexible. If you arrive late or early just let us know and we will arrange for you. We recommend that you use our transfer service from the airport to avoid problems. Our transfer cost 600 THB one way from the airport daytime. After midnight until 8 AM its 700 THB. Let us know your flight number, arrival date and time. More instructions will follow in your confirmation email. When you make your reservation in our real-time online reservation system you will get an instant confirmation. No need for credit card number or deposit payment. Click here to book.

Location:
We are located in Kathu halfway between Phuket town and Patong Beach. It’s a 3km distance to Patong Beach and 4 km to Paradise Complex, the gay nightlife area in Patong.
Getting around is easy by bus, a rented motorbike or car. If you don’t want to drive yourself we can arrange with taxi transfers or a car with a driver only for you.
You can choose your destination for a day out from 40 Phuket beaches or shopping at luxury malls or at the local market.
Phuket as a tropical Island has a great variety of nature with microclimate zones. Sandy beaches, mangrove wetland, tropical rain-forest with waterfalls and high hills. In short its a wonderful Island to explore.
By Bus:
You walk 500 meters to Family Mart and take the bus either to Phuket town which also stops just outside Central Phuket (shopping mall) or the other direction to Patong. The fare is 30 THB and the bus leaves every 30 minutes until 6 PM.

Activities:
At Phuket Gay Homestay you can just chill all day by our clothing optional swimming pool or look at in-house movies in case of bad weather, or to much sun. If you want to explore Phuket Island we can arrange with a driver to take you on a roundtrip. 40 beaches, temples, waterfalls, old Phuket town and viewpoints are on the “to see” list. When you are done with Phuket you can start to explore some of the other Islands around. There are plenty of organized day tours and we can help to recommend some tour companies that will pick you up at Phuket Gay Homestay.
Get together
Don’t be afraid to ask our other guests about plans for the day. Share a taxi to a new beach or to the nightlife in Paradise Complex. We are here to help if you need any advice or recommendations.

Rent a bike or motorbike
We have both bikes and motorbikes for rent at Phuket Gay Homestay. You need a valid diving licence to rent a motorbike. If you have a national driving licence for motorbike dont forget you also need an International driving licence as well. The same goes if you rent a car.

Given its reputation for their beaches, most LGBT travellers go to Phuket while visiting Thailand. Relax at beautiful beaches and the mountainous terrain. Enjoy the beach lifestyle and a vibrant nightlife with plenty of restaurants and entertainment.
Since the hookup world is changing utilizing social apps, like Grindr and Gayromeo will be important if youʼre looking to maximize your interactions with locals and other tourists. If you plan to visit during large festivals like Christmas, New Year, Songkran, Vegetarian festival and Gay Pride be sure to book your room well in advance.
With 40 beaches and over 39 islands surrounding Phuket, you will have plenty to explore.
Gay Nightlife
With a thin line separating the beach life from gay life, youʼll find LGBT locals and visitors all over the island having fun. Patong has the only gathering of gay bars in Thailand South of Bangkok. Paradise Complex is the epicentre of gay nightlife with close to 30 venues. If youʼre not sure where to start just stop over at the Paradise Complex. Come sunset and you can feel the energy as people prepare to head out. Around midnight the social scene gets started. The most popular bars are Zag Club and Boat Bar.
Gay Saunas:
There are two gay saunas in Phuket. Aquarius is located in Patong and caters mainly to tourists. The other, Tara sauna is in Phuket town and serves mainly the expat and local non-commercial community. Be aware that a majority of the visitors at Tara are not “out” and will only visit the sauna after its dark 19:00-22:00.
Massage
This is Thailand so you can find a massage with and without “happy ending” (thatʼs how the locals describe it). A really good massage with a male masseur can be difficult to find but here is some advice. C&N massage, Blue Dolphin and Aquarius.

Weekly gay gathering (high season):
Are you tired of the online world and would like to meet people in real life? Welcome to take part in the Island’s only Gay Gathering where you can meet, make friends, splash about in the swimming pool, have a few drinks, and dinner? This men-only dinner gathering is arranged in high season on Saturdays by Phuket Gay Homestay.
You don’t need to be staying here, we are open to gay men, expats, locals and tourists of different age and nationalities. If you don’t know any real-life gay friends this is the place to go. You can, of course, bring your online friends with you but here we meet in real life.
How do I join?
Just come here at 5 PM on Saturdays in high season. Dinner is served around 8 PM and we stop the music at 10 PM.
Price: 200 entrance including snack food buffet. Drinks available 50 and 100 THB
Bring: your swimwear only. Towels are provided. Don’t bring any valuables
